Obituary of Olive Kathleen Nelson

Olive was born in Parleeville on April 20, 1927; she was the daughter of the late Edward Brown and Mary Ann (Bishop) and was the wife of the late John Ferguson Nelson who passed away in 1973. Olive will live on in the hearts of her daughters: Jeannie Sharp and her husband Wayne of Berwick Road and Susan Parlee and her husband Dan of Sussex; her sister, Eileen Brown of Apohaqui; her brother, Richard Brown of Parleeville, three sisters-in-law: Margaret Brown of Sussex, Jean Brown of Sussex and Frances Long of Smith Creek; her son in law Stephen Hodd; seven grandchildren: Annette Lloyd and her husband Paul, Scott Sharp and his wife Darcie, Chrissie Johnston and her husband Todd, Angie Hodd, Jon Parlee and his wife Melissa, Ashley Parlee and Josh Parlee; ten great grandchildren: Tyler, Tiana, Tyson, Katie, Evan, Noah, Ethan, Brookelynn, Braylee and Mercedes; as well as nieces and nephews. Mrs. Olive Kathleen Nelson of Sussex, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on January 6, 2013 at the age of 85. She is predeceased by her son Jackie, her daughter Janette Hodd; seven brothers: Bert, Stewart, Edward "Ted", Arthur, William, Reg and Victor; and by three sisters: Edith Hall, Mary Raymond and Alice Brown. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 from 1-3 and 6-8pm. A service celebrating Olive's life will be held from Trinity Anglican Church on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 11:00am. The interment will take place at Church of the Ascension Anglican Cemetery in the spring. www.wallacefuneralhome.com
