Gertie was born in Sussex on April 27, 1922 and she was the daughter of the late Michael and Emmieline (Morash) Howley. Gertie is survived by her niece Betty Constantine and her husband Garfield of Sussex, their sons Jason Constantine of Moncton and Charles Constantine and his wife Dawn and their children: Jenna and Luke; her niece Nancy Helmsworth of Saint John and her nephew Paul Howley of Collina. Ms. Helen "Gertie" Gertrude Howley of Sussex passed away on January 21, 2013 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her two sisters: Clara Hemsworth and Muriel Duffy and by her six brothers: Austin, Joseph, Cedric, Ora, Lewis and Lawrence. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex NB (506) 433-1176. In respect of Gertie's wishes, there will be no visitation. There will be a graveside service in the spring with the interment at Trinity Cemetery.
