Obituary of Ruth Nagle

Mrs Ruth Maude Nagle of Penobsquis passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on October 02, 2011 at the age of 77. Born in Saint John on October 05, 1933, she was the daughter of Ottie and Florence (Pace) Lewis. This was the year that a gallon of gas cost 10 cents, a loaf of bread cost 7 cents and Richard Bennett was the prime minister of Canada. Throughout her life, family was always most important to Ruth and she worked very hard to take care of them. She retired from Barbour Foods where she worked many years packing tea. She was also a proud and active member of the Salvation Army. Ruth is survived by two daughters, Judy Coggar and her husband Paul of Plumweseep Cross Road, Sandra Hay and her husband Larry of Plumweseep; her son, Ronald McArthur and his wife Georgie of Fredericton, NB; three step-daughters, Jennifer Nagle of Sussex, Debra Fenwick and her husband George of Alberta and Crystal Henderson and her husband Robert of Sussex Corner, NB; two step-sons, Nathan and his wife Carolyn of Sussex and Richard and his wife Anne of Loggieville, NB; two brothers, Gordon and George Lewis both of Saint John, NB; four sisters, Patricia Hart of St. Martins, Violet Lewis of Midland, NB, Lela Sabean of Hamilton, Ontarioand Eva Quigley of Mossglen; six grandchildren; Martin McArthur (Jodi Sangster), Patrick Coggar (Jill), Trevor Pangburn, Jody Clain (Stewart), Jarret Hay, Jena McArthur (Adam Caldwell); four great grandchildren, Jackson, Nicole, John and Samantha; twelve Step-grandchildren, Amber, Shawn, Christopher, Jason, Angela, Calab, Cyndil, Clorice, April, Vanessa, Sylvia, Jeffrey; five step great grandchildren, Kiara, Madison, Brittany, Marcia and Kyla; as well as several nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by her first husband Albert McArthur who passed away in 1984, her second husband Herbert Nagle who passed away in 2004, by a brother Freeman Lewis and her sister Muriel Virtue. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, Sussex, where visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 from 1-3 and 6-8pm, A Celebration of Ruth's life will be held from the Salvation Army on October 05, 2011 at 11:00am. Interment will be in Kirk Hill Cemetery, Sussex, N.B.
