Obituary of Melissa Josephine Butler

Lisa was born in Alberton, Prince Edward Island on November 18, 1965; she was the daughter of the late William and Barbara (Blanchard) Bernard. Lisa lived most of her life on the Island until moving to New Brunswick with her future husband and son, she began her career with Canada Post along side her future husband Richard (Ricky) Butler whom she married July 1, 1995 in Prince Edward Island. Lisa loved her work, her family and her co-workers. She was so proud of being a wife, mother, a mother in-law and a grandmother. She always had something funny to say and prided herself on working hard and taking care of her customers. She was well known and well liked and will be greatly missed by her family, friends, co-workers and customers Lisa will live on in the heatts of Rick, her beloved husband of 18 years, her son; Nathan Bernard and his wife Kaylie of Collina, her grandson, Noah Cameron, three brothers: Jimmy Bernard and his wife Tammy of Summerside, PEI, Wade Bernard and his wife Brenda of Slave Lake, AB, Ian Bernard and his wife Julie of Charlottetown, PEI; her brothers-in-law: Paul Butler and his wife Fran of Cornhill, George Butler Jr. of Salisbury, Donald Butler and his wife Carolyn of Shediac Road, Wayne Butler and his wife Tami of Ottawa, her sisters-in-law; Diane and her husband Dale of PEI, Ruth and her husband Elvin of Newtown, Patsy and her husband Mike of Havelock; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mrs. "Lisa" Melissa Josephine Butler of Apohaqui, passed away suddenly at the Sussex Health Centre on March 6, 2013 at the age of 47. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). A service celebrating Lisa's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Sunday March 10th, 2013 at 2:00pm, followed by a time of fellowship with the family. Donations made to the Living Memorial would be appreciated.
