Obituary of Marshall Lawrence Leavitt

Marshall was born on September 14, 1922 in Back Bay, NB he was the son of the late Granville and Sarah Leavitt. Marshall will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Helen; his daughter, Regina Heinrichs and her husband Orville of Landmark, Manitoba; five sons: Lawrence and his wife Makie of Newtown, Steven and his wife Carol of Saskatoon, James of Regina, Jeff and Datha of Sussex Corner and Dean of Newtown; his sister, Jean Barton and her husband Bernie of Minto; his brother-in-law, Jimmy McNeill and his wife Theresa of Saskatoon; two sisters-in-law, Doris and her husband Rev. Frank Robichaud of Ripples and Carol LeBlanc and her husband Fedile of Fredericton; 20 grandchildren: Darahlynn (Mark Sinclair), Johan (Corrie), Shannon (Malcolm Brown), Randall (Mariecke), Kim, Denise, Cheryl (Jeff Mohr), Corey, Steve (Lisa), Darcy, Eric, Kevin, Samantha, JR, Jamie, Daniel (Jessica Kennedy) Bradley, Josiah, Jonathan and Brooklyn; 16 great grandchildren: Sequoia, Kenya, Eli, Luke, Caitlin, Savannah (Shawn Kelly) Jaylynn, Eric, Aaron, Serena, Morgan, Elizabeth, Aylish, Breanna, Alex, Andrew, Chelsea, Steve Jr. Celina and Shealease. Mr. Marshall Lawrence Leavitt of the Kiwanis Nursing Home formerly of Newtown passed away March 18, 2013 at the age of 90. He is predeceased by his brother Edward. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506) 433-1176. Visitation will be held at Calvary Pentecostal Church on Monday, March 25 from 12:00-2:00pm. A service celebrating Marshall's life will follow at 2:00pm with a time of fellowship in the Church basement immediately following the service.
