Obituary of Dorothy Marie Cogger
Dorthy "Marie" was born in Sussex on February 19, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Garfield and Mary (Forsythe) Morrow and the wife of the late Edward Patrick Cogger who passed away in 1988.
Marie and Edward worked very hard on their farm to take care of their family. They instilled in their children that you had to work hard to have things in life. She also had a strong faith which took her through a lot of tough times. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church as well as the Catholic Women's League.
Marie loved to play bingo, knit and garden and be with her family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed.
Marie will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters: Mary Taylor and Dave Walsh of Smith Creek and Anne Friars and her husband Bruce of Plumweseep; three sons: John and his wife Joan of Roachville, Bryan and Eileen Fanjoy of Anagance and Paul and his wife Judy of Plumweseep; her brother Garfield Morrow; her sister Jean Tubb; grandchildren: Tommy, Katherine, Jackie (Jeremy Smith), Stacy, Mike, Patricia (David), Gordon (Melissa), Susan (Craig), Eddie, Joe (Melissa), Chris (Amy), Troy (Amy), Cassie (Darren), Ryan (Patrice), Jody (Stewart), Pat (Jill) and Carly (Jordan); great grandchildren: Maggie, Jonathan, Kash, Katie, Timothy, Andrew, Chloe, Emma, Cole, Zach, Destiny, Taylor, EJ, Nikkie, John, Samantha, Jackson as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Dorothy "Marie" Cogger passed away at the Sussex Health Center on April 17, 2013 at the age of 91. She is predeceased by her sister, Winifred Irene.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506) 433-1176 where visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, from 1-3 and 6-8pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 10:00am followed by a reception at the Roachville Hall.
Interment will take place at Wards Creek Cemetery on a later date.
Donations made to the St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
