Obituary of Lloyd Hayes

Mr. Lloyd Miles Hayes was born in Head of Millstream on April 11, 1918; he was the son of the late Charles and Hannah (Frazee) Hayes. Lloyd spent the younger part of his life engaged in farming and working as a lumber contractor until his retirement at the age of 57; then moving on to work in construction for the Province of New Brunswick until his retirement at the age of 65. He was very active in the Head of Millstream Wesleyan Church and attended regularly. He also read his bible and prayed every morning after breakfast. He enjoyed reading and the outdoors; especially hunting and fishing. Bunty and Lloyd spent their winters in Florida and their summers in Beulah at their cottage. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family. Lloyd will live on in the hearts of his beloved wife, Wilhelmina "Bunty"; his daughters: Karen and her husband Joseph Breau of North Vancouver and Myrna and her husband Rev. John Naile of Gaylord, Michigan; his sons: Lloyd Hayes II and his wife Mary of West Newbury, Mass., Kenneth Hayes and his wife Linda of Bridgewater, Mass. and Andrew Hayes and his wife Kathy of Easton, Mass.; his grandchildren: Elissa Soczynski and her husband Mike, Jenna Breau, Karen Elizabeth Naile, Jonathan Naile, Kyle Hayes, Lloyd Hayes III, Martin Hayes, Hannah Hayes and Kasey Hayes; as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers: Les, Owen, Warren, Hiliyard and Foster Hayes; his sisters: Helen, Ida, Alma, Vilis, Luella,Leah, Lena and Greta. Mr. Lloyd Miles Hayes of Saint John formerly of Sussex, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on September 9, 2011 at the age of 93. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Monday 1-3 and 6-8pm. A Celebration of Lloyd's life will be held from Sussex Wesleyan Church on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 2:00 pm. The interment will take place at Head of Millstream Wesleyan Cemetery at 4:30pm following at time of fellowship with the family at the church.
