Obituary of Myles Andrew Dempsey
Myles was born in Jacquet River on April 10, 1929 and was the son of the late Myles George and Margaret Elizabeth (Daigle) Dempsey.
Myles loved music; both for listening and playing. He could often be found playing his guitar and singing. Although he enjoyed many tunes, country music was his choice. He also enjoyed making bread from scratch and gardening. Myles loved to be silly and have a good time. He loved to be outside, having a good time. Some of his favourite times were spent camping and fishing with family and friends, going for drives in the summer time and the occasional swim. He appreciated the outdoors. Even if he was just sitting on the deck having a cold one, while the barbacue was going.
Myles was a member of the Garvis Bay Legion and the Buffalo Club. Participated in bowling during his younger years. He always loved to watch the Toronto Blue Jays play ball. Every summer Myles and mom came up to St. Martin's for a meal at the Caves restaurant. He truly enjoyed coming to see our vegetable garden. Grabbing some veggies and fresh eggs for home. It reminded him of his homestead, I think. He loved his family very much.
Myles will continue to live on in the hearts of his wife Margaret, two daughters: Susan MacIsaac and her husband Ron, Lori Harper and her husband Terry; two sons: Ricky Dempsey, Terry Dempsey and his wife Barbara all of Saint John; four step-daughters: Dawn Parker and her husband Steven Bremer of ON, Rose McCutcheon and her husband Neil of Saint John, Margaret Ann Muise and her husband Stephen of Saint John, Patricia Ellis and her husband Jason of St. Martins; his step son, Vincent Czap of ON; his brother, Joe and his wife Angie of Rothesay; 16 grandchildren: Bruce, Keith, Corey, Phillip, Meaghan, Jeffrey, Joshua, Mariah, Rosie, Justin, Niaomi, Austin, Courtney, Veronica, Makayla and Sydney; five great grandchildren: Rebecca, Justin, Meaghan, Anthony and Justin; as well as several nieces and nephews.
