Obituary of Charles Hartle Lowther

Charles Hartle Lowther was born on November 18, 1952 in Summerside, PEI. He was the son of the late Lawrence and Lea (Champion) Lowther. Chuck loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a self taught guitar player and enjoyed singing. He collected antiques and loved being outdoors, as well as fishing and hunting. Chuck worked at the mine at Flin Flon as well as at the Potash Mine in Sussex. He was considered a Jack of all trades and after his time at the mine he continued to do odd jobs. Chuck touched the lives of many, and will be missed by all who knew him. Chuck is survived by his daughter Janet Lowther of Saskatchewan; his sons Nick Lowther of Moncton and Jamie Lowther of Sussex; his sisters: Lauralea Hourihan of PEI and Janet Shaw and her husband Trevor of Lepreau, NB; his four grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. Charles Hartle Lowther of Sussex passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on May 5, 2013 at the age of 60. He was predeceased by his sister Patricia Cormier who passed away in 2008. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506) 433-1176. There will be no visitation as per Chuck's wishes. A Celebration of Chuck's life will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 1:00pm from the Wallace Community Chapel.
