John Lewis was born in Sussex on May 22, 1958; he was the son of the late John Stanley and Cora Myrtle (Adair) Lewis.
John was a Baseball Umpire, a Cub Leader with the Norton Boys Scouts and a Human Service Counselor with the Elementary School.

Mr. John Stanley Lewis of Peter Street Sussex passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on August 6, 2000 at the age of 42. John is predeceased by a brother Russel and a sister Loretta Inkpen
The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Tuesday 2-4, 7-9.
A service celebrating John Lewis' life will be held from Sussex United Baptist Church on Wednesday, August 09, 2000 at 2:00 pm. The interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Park.
John will be loving remembered by two brothers; Albert and his wife Etta of Wards Creek, Harold and his wife Debbie of Jeffries Corner; six sisters; Joan Campbell and her husband Ken of Penobsquis, Doreen Lewis of Fundy Park Road, Doris Fraser and her husband Gordon of Penobsquis, Ann Bunnell and her husband Glenn of Penobsquis, Ruthie Fitzgerald and her husband Tony of Penobsquis, Bev Lewis of Urney Road; a sister-in-law, Marg of Sussex, a brother-in-law, Dillwyn Inkpen of Wards Creek, two aunts; Rhoda Patterson of Norton, Betty Adair of Penobsquis; uncle, Andy Wilson of Ontario; as well as several nieces and nephews.
