Obituary of Mary Manzer

Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Manzer was born in Saint John on March 16, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Carolyn (Haynes) Cooper and was the wife of the late Frederick Manzer. Betty was an Assistant Librarian for the Telegraph Journal and Evening Times Glove and was the Ward Secretary for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Betty was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary at the Sussex Health Center, the Trinity Church Guild, the Trinity Church Chi-Rho Fellowship, and the Fundy Royal PC Party. Betty was of Loyalist, Scottish, Welsh, and English descent, and she possessed a great interest in genealogy. Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Manzer of Sussex, NB, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on April 3, 2000 at the age of 79. Betty will be remembered by her brother; Fraser and his wife Marlene Cooper of Truro, NS; two sisters; Lois and her husband Paul Casey of Saint John, NB, and Diane and her husband Roderick Clarke of Thunder Bay, Ont; as well as several nieces and nephews. A service celebrating Betty's life will be held from Trinity Anglican Church on Thursday, April 6, 2000 at 11:00 am. The interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. www.wallacefuneralhome.com
