Obituary of Lester Zinck

Lester Zinck was born in Elmwood on July 16, 1935, he was the son of the late Harding and Madelyn (Zinck) Zinck and was the husband of the late Sandra (Parent) Zinck.

Lester was the Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 60, Washademoak and past Zone Commander. Lester severed for 27 years with the Armed Forces as a Range Controller and was stationed in Base Gagetown, Camp Bordon, Cyprus and Germany. He was a member of the Coles Island Volunteer Fire Department.

Mr. Lester George Zinck of Coles Island, NB, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on March 8, 2000 at the age of 64.

Lester will be remembered by five daughters; Ann Marie Desruisseau and her husband Troy of Belleisle, Patricia Gahan and her husband Mark of Bagdad, Roxanne of Calgary, Amy Boyd and her husband Ricky of Youngs Cove, Cindy Milner of Coles Island; one son; John and his wife Jaclyn of Calgary; one brother; Chester of Ontario; four sisters; Mary Johnstone of Nova Scotia, Evelyn Scott and her husband Albert of Nova Scotia; Sadie Nicholson and her husband Larry of Nova Scotia, Ferne Zinck of Nova Scotia; nine grandchildren; Nicholas, Joshua, Josiah, Ashley, Brittany, Devon, Avery, Johanna and Sasha, also by several nieces and nephews. Lester was predeceased by a daughter Jennifer in 1972.

A service celebrating Lester George's life will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Saturday, March 11, 2000 at 2:00 pm. The interment will take place at Coles Island Cemetery.
