Obituary of Arthur Stephenson

Arthur Stephenson was born in Rosetown on December 25, 1917, he was the son of the late Fred and Edith (Steele) Stephenson and was the husband of the late Frances (Keirstead) Stephenson. Arthur enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a retired woodworker from Sussex Manufacturing; he was an artist with wood and visualized it as a clock or other beautiful items. Boat building was also a labor of love, he built several sailboats and even a paddle wheel, bird watching was also a pleasure. Uncle Art loved taking pictures; photography was a life long hobby. Arthur attended Sussex United Baptist Church. Mr. Arthur David Stephenson of Sussex, NB, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on January 26, 2000 at the age of 82. Arthur will be remembered by a sister; Doris Carrickof Rosetown, Saskatchewan; special friend; Muriel Day of Sussex; a sister-in-law; Marjorie Friars of Sussex; also by several nieces and nephews; Milton and Judy Friars of Sussex, Frank and Linda Friars, of Sussex, Myles and Annette Friars, of Brookfield, NS, Pauline and David Rouse, of Sussex Corner, Norma and Don Prang of Lanigan, Saskatchewan, Lorene and Dan Curtis of Rosetown, Saskatchewan, Edie Lloyd of St. Albert, Alberta, Betty and Don Piska of Edmonton, Alberta, David and Charlotte Allard of Biggar, Saskatchewan, Mary and Frank Craddock of Spencerville, Ontario; also by several grand and great nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm. A service celebrating Arthur's life will be held from Sussex United Baptist Church on Saturday, January 29, 2000 at 2:00 pm.
