Pastor Edward McCormick was born in Saint John on September 9, 1948, he was the son of the late Frank McCormick and Ruby (Gower) McCormick and was the husband of Nancy (MacLeod) McCormick. Ed pastored at Coles Island Pentecostal Church and was involved in many organizations. Pastor Edward Murray McCormick of Coles Island, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on September 14, 1999 at the age of 51. Besides his wife, Ed will be remembered by his two daughters; Lori-Lynn McCormick of Youngs Cove, and Sarah McAllister and her husband Ivan of Long Creek, two sons; Jason and his wife Carla of Upper-Knoxford, NB, and Joshua of Coles Island, four brothers; Randy and his wife Nicole of Hudson, Que, Brian of Saint John, Stephen and his wife Paula of Saint John, and Kevin of Toronto, his sister, Carol Keith and her husband Gordon of Mineral Wells, Texas, four grandchildren; Bobby, Bethany, Lyndsey and Rachelle, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Wednesday 7-9pm, Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A service celebrating Edward's life will be held from Coles Island Pentecostal Church on Friday, September 17, 1999 at 11:00 am.
