Obituary of Mildred Mitton

Mildred Mitton was born in Waterford on January 6, 1912, she was the daughter of the late John and Letitia (Hanlon) Burns and was the wife of the late Willard Mitton. Mildred was a member of the Penobsquis United Baptist Church and a life member of the Kendra Club. Mrs. Mildred Elva Mitton of Sussex, NB, passed away at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on September 3, 1999 at the age of 87. Mildred will be remembered by her five daughters; Verda and her husband Harry Fanjoy of Dutchvalley, Eileen and her husband Frank Cole of Sussex, Jackie and her husband Bob Armstrong of Sussex Corner, Margaret and her husband Charlie Bruce of Fredericton, Betty ann and her husband Raleigh Myers of Mt.Hebron; three sons; Earl and his wife Alice of Sussex Corner, Walter and his wife Lois of Sussex Corner, Bob and his wife Paulette of Ratters Corner; two brothers; Leo Burns and his wife Winnie of Alma, Ottie Burns and his wife Wilma of Riverview, one sister; Helen Bannister of Riverview; one daughter-in-law, Glenna Mitton of Sussex Corner; 36 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mildred was predeceased by her sons; Vernon, Murray, Cecil, and Doug. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Saturday 2-4 & 7-9 pm . A service celebrating Mildred Elva's life will be held from Penobsquis United Baptist on Sunday, September 5, 1999 at 3:00 pm.
