Obituary of Merlin Tabor

Merlin Tabor was born in Hammondvale on February 27, 1924, he was the son of the late Harold and Elizabeth (Gilliam) Tabor and was the husband of Vera (Seeley) Tabor. Merlin was a Veteran of WWII, the Superintendent for Shurgain Feeds, a Member of the Church of Ascension, the Kings County Historical Society, and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 20. Mr. Merlin Harold Tabor of Apohaqui, passed away at the Sussex Health Center on August 30, 1999 at the age of 75. Besides his mother and his wife, Merlin is survived by his daughters; Marie Tabor and Ron Suzuki of Vancouver, Rosalyn and Bill Stockdale of Sussex, Gayle Tabor of Coquitlam, BC, Janet and Mark McLean of Taylor Lake, NB, Pamela and David Hazen of Halifax, Dawn Tabor and Ron Webb of Norton, and Trina Tabor and Ron Corbett of Apohaqui, and by his sons; David and Barbara of Apohaqui, Arthur and Janet of Hampton, Larry of Hammondvale, Bernard and Judy of Wards Creek, Kent and Krista of Sussex, Peter and Lucie of Chipman, Shawn and Anne of Sussex, by his brothers, Marley and Dortie of Douglas, NB, Andy and Gladys of Hammondvale, and by his sisters; Wilma and Elmer Bell of Sussex Corner, and Carlotta and Bill Spencer of Hampton, a brother-in-law Charlie Sutherland, eighteen grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Merlin was predeceased by a daughter, Madeline; a son; Barry, and sisters; Myrtle Sutherland and Audrey Purtill. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Wednesday 7-9 PM Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A service celebrating Merlin's life will be held from Church of Ascension on Friday, September 3, 1999 at 11:00 am.
