Stanley Coates was born in Sussex on July 3, 1921, he was the son of the late Harry and Ada Mae (Makepeace) Coates and is the husband of Stella (MacLean) Coates. Mr. Stanley Norman Coates of Four Corners, NB, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on July 24, 1999 at the age of 78. Stanley will be remembered by his daughter; Connie Crabbe and her husband Carvel of Saint John; son; Harry and his wife Brenda of Sussex; three sisters; Mabel Campbell and her husband Harold of Saint John, Dot Dutcher of Moncton and Hazel Lord of Smith Creek; three grandchildren, Kelly Crabbe, Harry and Michael Coates; also by several nieces and nephews. Stanley was predeceased by four brothers; George, Albert, Harold and Murray; two sisters; Jean and Grace. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Sunday 7-9pm, Monday 2-4 & 7-9pm. A service celebrating Stanley's life will be held from St. Paul's United Church on Tuesday, July 27, 1999 at 2:00 pm. The interment will take place at Gosline Cemetery. www.wallacefuneralhome.com
