Melbourne Ross was born in Sussex on September 11, 1919, he was the son of the late Michael and Georgie (Monahan) Ross and was the husband of the late Jean (McConnell) Ross. Mr. Melbourne Michael Ross of Lower Cove, passed away at his residence on June 5, 1999 at the age of 79. Melbourne will be remembered by her three daughters; Sharon Grass of Grand Bay; Debbie and her husband Richard Irvine of Sussex Corner; Donna Ross and her husband Michael Wisted of Saint John; one Son; Harold Ross of Saint John; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; also by several nieces and nephews. Mel was predeceased by two sons David and Ronald and by a brother; John. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Sunday 7-9 pm, Monday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A service celebrating Melbourne's life will be held from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic on Tuesday, June 8, 1999 at 9:00 am.
