Rex Thorne was born in Codys on July 25, 1930, he was the son of the late Abraham "Moody" and Millie (Thorne) Thorne and was the husband of Mary Thorne. Mr. Rex Albert Thorne of Cody's, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on May 31, 1999 at the age of 68. Rex will be remembered by his three daughters; Linda Saia and her husband Mike of Browns Flats, Susan Cawley and her husband Christopher of Quispamsis; Karen Boyd and her husband John of Codys; son; Stephen and his wife Brenda of Codys; three sisters; Virginia Viger and her husband Alfie of Coles Island; Vera Harris and her husband Cecil of Saint John; Nellie Perry and her husband Arthur of Cambridge Narrows; also by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Rex was predeceased by a brother Murray. A service celebrating Rex's life will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, June 1, 1999 at 2:00 pm.
