Pat embraced life through her many hobbies; bowling, curling, knitting, spending time with her friends, family, and all her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed leaving the city life for weekends in the country with her Mom, Dad and her daughter Shelly. In 1974, Pat brought her family to Sussex where she began her career as a secretary for Bob Corbett, Member of Parliament for Fundy Royal. She enjoyed the running of the day to day operations of his constituency office, making new and life time friends. In Pat's fashion, she jumped in with both feet and joined many groups, curled, bowled and became very involved in politics enjoying the great Hatfield era. In the early 80s she continued enjoying her career, friends and loving her pets, two cats and a dog, and spent many enjoyable hours in her vegetable and flower gardens. In 1986, Pat made a move back to Nova Scotia to be help care for her aging mother. She started a new career with Zellers in a management position; but was still able to make time for bowling, knitting, crafts and spending time with her friends and family. She welcomed her son-in-law Bob Bradley into her family and in 1992; she became a proud grandmother for the first time to Jesse followed by Olivia, who were born three years apart. During this time Pat battled and beat breast cancer. Pat continued to look after her mother and in 2004 she retired from her career at Zellers and moved back to Sussex to be close to her family where she also welcomed the arrival of the newest addition to the family, Billy (her 16 pound cat) whom she loved, adored and spoiled rotten. She continued to bowl and knit and was able to enjoy more leisure activities with her friends, she spent many hours with her grandchildren, enjoying bird watching and feeding the birds at her bird feeder in her yard. She also enjoyed feeding the stray cats in the neighbourhood, walks with Billy and Olivia and sitting in her chair reading her favourite books, doing crossword puzzles and watching some of her favourite shows (Coronation Street). She joined a Bridge group and continued to bowl with her friends. Pat enjoyed the simple things in life, the most important was spending time with her many friends and loving family. Pat was very proud of her grandchildren, getting to see them both graduate high school and continue their education. Pat continued to enjoy her retirement years doing the things she loved the most with her family and friends, until her sudden illness in March of 2013. She is forever grateful for kindness and support she received from her loving sisters Kay and Sylvia.
