Obituary of Murray Proctor

Murray Proctor was born in Sussex on June 9, 1925, he was the son of the late Garfield & Margaret (Richardson) Proctor and the husband of Phyllis Morrell. Murray served overseas during WWII with the Royal Canadian Navy. He served with the Canadian Army in the Korea war. Mr. Murray G. Proctor of Plumweseep, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on April 29, 1999 at the age of 73. Besides his wife, Murray will be remembered by his four daughters; Connie Reidle and her husband Walter of Renforth, Cathy Proctor of Halifax, Joan Proctor of Halifax, Jane Cowan and her husband David Cowan of Riverview; three sons; Gerald of Sussex, David of Sussex, Danny and his wife Nancy of Sussex; his sister; Anne Leavitt and her husband Bernard of St. George; nine grandchildren, also by several nieces and nephews. Murray was predeceased by three sisters, Pauline, Kay and Lillian.. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm. A service celebrating Murray's life will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Saturday, May 1, 1999 at 10:00 am.
