Orie Armstrong was born in Coote Hill, Queens County on September 18, 1901, she was the daughter of the late James and Annie (McKinney) Allingham and was the wife of Austin Armstrong. Orie Margaret Armstrong of Roachville, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on November 13, 1998 at the age of 97. Orie will be remembered by her daughter; Marion Patterson and her husband Albert, of Hampton; two sons; Winston and his wife Jessie of Newtown, Harold and his wife Beatrice of Roachville; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, also by several nieces and nephews. Orie was predeceased by a brother; Forrest and a sister; Izetta McCallan. . The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A service celebrating Orie's life will be held from St. Paul's United Church on Monday, November 16, 1998 at 2:00 pm.
