Obituary of Robina McQuinn

Robina (Sears) McQuinn was born in Jeffries Corner on August 6, 1923; she was the daughter of the late Burl and Treva (Mallory) Thorne. Robina was employed at the Eatons Department Store in Moncton and in an Insurance Adjusting Office in Sussex for several years. One of her greatest passions was for all the people she met while she was an Avon representative. Robina passed away at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus on August 10, 2013 at the age of 90. She will live on in the hearts her daughter Linda Hunter and husband Ted of Ottawa, two brothers: Arthur Thorne (Anna) of Arizona and Donald Thorne (Ena) of Petitcodiac; her sister Alberta Jeffries of Sussex Corner, seven grandchildren: Randy Sears and his wife Bernadette of Sussex, Scott Hunter and his wife Andrea of Ottawa, Alison Hunter of Ottawa, Jeff Sears and his wife Holly of ; Kelly Goddard and her husband Troy of British Columbia, Craig Sears of Moncton, Darcy Sears and his wife Jennifer of Ottawa;  six great grandchildren: Hannah, Cooper, Kohen, Colby, Brodie, and Amelia; as well as several nieces and nephews.   Robina is predeceased by her first husband Victor Sears who passed away in 1975, by her second husband Aiton McQuinn who passed away in 1984 by her son Raymond Victor Sears who passed away in 2003; and by three brothers: George, Otty and Emery Thorne. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Tuesday 1-3 and 6-8pm . A service celebrating Robina Lillian's life will be held from Sussex Baptist Church on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 2:00 pm followed by a time of fellowship with the family. The interment will take place at Havelock Cemetery.
