Obituary of Mary Wilkins

Mary was born in Glenkeen, Limavady, Northern Ireland on January 30, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Edith Mary (Rice) Morrow. She came to Canada with her family at the age of 8. Mary enjoyed people and welcomed all into her home - no one leaving without an offer of a cup of tea and something to eat. Mary loved cooking and could not be matched with her bread making of which she learned to do at the age of seven and continued doing until well past the age of 80.She lived on a farm most of her life thus the life long passion of caring for the animals she loved, especially her cow, Daisy. Mary was active in her community until her death. She was a former member of he Royal Canadian Legion, Hampton Branch # 28 and a longtime member of the Old Country Club, Hampton. She was a member of Knox United Church, Markhamville, a former member of he Hampton United Church and St. John's United Church at the age of 17. Her most treasured times were those she spent with her family, and friends and will be thoroughly missed by all whose lives she touched. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Gertrude Cunningham and her husband Don of Conneticut; Pauline Chisholm and her husband Hunt of Ontario; her son, Arnold Scott of Hampton, NB; her stepchildren: Joanne Scott and her husband Paul of Markhamville; Vondelle Perkins and her husband Ron of Rothesay; Joyce Ross and her husband Howard of Quispamsis; Her brothers and sisters: Kathleen Carson of Bloomfield, Margaret (Peggy) Gamble of St. Martins, Aileen Duplessis and her husband Charles of Fredericton, Maple Shwetz and her husband Bill of London, Ontario, Etta Sharpe and her husband John of Arizona, and twins: Hugh Morrow and his wife Velda of Oromocto and Edith Rankin of Fredericton and Jean MacKenzie and her husband Merle of Picadilly; her daughter-in-law, Sylvia Paggett (Crandell) and her husband Ernest of Markhamville; her brother-in-law, Elmer Wilkins and his wife Phyllis of Sussex; her sisters-in-law: Helen Scott of Quispamsis, Margaret Scott of Saint John, Audrey Morrow of Saint John; as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her first husband Murray Patton Scott who passed away in 1960; her second husband, Russell James Wilkins who passed away in 2002; her sons: Robert and John Scott; her step-son, Crandell Wilkins; her daughter-in-law, Karen Scott; her brother, James Morrow and by her nephew, John Morrow.
