Obituary of Doris Evelyn Wallace
Doris was born in Waterford on February 2, 1920; she was the daughter of the late Ora and Eliza "Lydia" (Armstrong) Wallace.
Doris spent most of her working year at NB Tel. After 35 years of service, Doris retired. She was a member of Pioneers of America Senior Citizens Club, the 1980 Keeping Young Club as well as a member of the Church of the Ascension and UCW.
Doris was a beloved aunt and great aunt to many, but in her heart they were like her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed.
Doris will be lovingly remembered by her nephew, Bev Parlee and his wife Linda; her nieces, Barbara Pyett and her husband Colin, Janice Wallace, Carol Parent, Ann Grosewiner and her husband Martin, and Glenna McMurtrey and her husband Blair, as well as several great nieces and nephews.
Miss Doris Evelyn Wallace of Apohaqui, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on September 15, 2013 at the age of 93. She was the last surving member of her family.
Doris was predeceased by her sisters Sarah Parlee and her husband George and baby sister Kathleen as well as by her brothers, Aubrey Wallace and his wife Violet, Roy Wallace and his wife Freda and Lawrence Wallace and his wife Ada.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on September 23rd from 1 - 4pm.
A service celebrating Doris' life will be held from the Church of Ascension, in Apohaqui, on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 2 :30pm.
The interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery, Sussex Corner followed by a time of fellowship with the family at the Medley Memorial Hall.
