Obituary of Robert Richardson
Born in Detroit on November 28, 1936, Bob was the son of the late Cecil and Greta (Roberts) Richardson.
Bob was a banker with Bank of Nova Scotia, having retired after 42 years. He was Vice President of Commercial Credit for Atlantic Canada as well as a member of the Probus Club, a past member of the Rotary Club in Florenceville, Charlottetown and Saint John. He was also a past member of the Lions Club in Saint John, and past president and campaign chairman of Greater United Way of Saint John. He was Past Vice-President of Finance for Northwood Inc. in Halifax which was the largest seniors complex east of Montréal. He served 5 years as commissioner with the Public Utilities Board, Province of New Brunswick. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church as well as a staunch advocate for his community.
Bob had a lifelong love of country music and gardening. He was especially proud of his five grandchildren and his love for his family is the legacy he leaves behind.
Bob is survived by his wife Joan, two sons: Mark and his wife Kelly of Cody's and Andrew Richardson and his wife Tina of Fredericton; his sister, Charlotte Smith of Saint John; five grandchildren: Molly and Morgan, Drew, Liam and Elizabeth as well as several nieces and nephews.
