Obituary of Georgie Pearson

Georgie was born in Hatfield Point NB on April 18, 1925; she was the daughter of the late George and Odessia (Stanley) Sprague. She was a devoted wife for 59 years to the love of her life, Mac Pearson, until his passing in 2002. Georgie is survived by her son, Earl Pearson of Highfield; her daughters: Donna Northrup and her husband Doug of Sussex and Janet Main and her husband Hallie Colpitts of Sussex; a Cherished Nanna: to Stephen Pearson and his wife Laurie of Fredericton, Jackie Perry and her husband Wayne of Codys, Jennifer Anderson and her husband Mark of Fredericton, Lisa King and her husband Dan of Quispamsis, Jeff Northrup and his wife Stacy of Saint John, Stephanie Main-Colpitts and her husband Chris of Norton and Kristen Main of Sussex; she was a great-Nanna to 14: Simon, Oliver, Hunter & Mya Pearson; Courtney, Cody & Cassidee Perry; Sarah and Lauren Anderson; Grace, Jordan & Josh King; Tyson Northrup and Cicily Colpitts. Most recently she was so happy to hear that number 15 is expected in September and that Cicily was going to be a big sister! Also survived by her sister in law, Cessy Sprague of Saint John; as well as several nieces and nephews. Georgie was the last member of her immediate family. Mrs. Georgie S. Pearson of Sussex Corner passed away at the Sussex Health Centre surrounded by her loving family on March 1, 2014 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by six brothers and sister-in-laws: Gordon (Jean), Ned (Geneva), Arnold (Dell), Oscar, Earl (Hazel) and Clair Sprague and by two sisters: Vera Neil (George) and Madeleine Jeffery (Frank). Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where the visitation will be held on March 7th from 1-3 and 6-8pm. A service celebrating Georgie's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Saturday March 8, 2014 at 11:00 am with Jeanette Cosman officiating. The interment will take place at Bayview Cemetery, Hatfield Point in the spring. There will be a time of fellowship with the family immediately following the service. If you are considering making a memorial donation, the family has recommended Multiple Sclerosis or the Bay View Cemetery.
