Jack was born in Apohaqui on September 4, 1943; he was the son of the late J.L. Kirke Steele of St. Martins and Muriel M. (Kilpatrick) of Upham. Jack was a retired accountant. He will live on in the hearts of his son, Christian Steele and his wife Le of Airdrie, Alberta; his grandson, MacKenzie Steele; his sister, Susan Keirstead and her husband Fraser of Lance, NS; his brothers: Bob and his wife Louise of Riverview, Allan and his wife Linda of Sackville, David and his wife Sandy of Petitcodiac, Ralph and Nancy Smith of Sussex; as well as by the mother of his son, Linda Phillips and her husband Jim of Hanwell, NB and several nieces and nephews. Mr. "Jack" John Leslie Steele of Magnolia Ave. Sussex passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on April 5, 2014 at the age of 70. A Service celebrating Jack's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 11:00am with Rev. Wandalyn Snelgrove officiating.
