I dropped by to see Ruby a couple of weeks ago. I found a couple of boxes of old Church Records while cleaning out my late mom & dad's house. Ruby proudly told me that she was the oldest living person in the immediate Cody's area. She complained about her arthritis but other than that things seemed good, still getting out, driving her car, etc. My family got to know Ruby and Ivol when they moved to Cody's in the 70's. Ruby became a good friend with my late mother Leola. She assisted mom at many of my father's auction sales and was always smiling and pleasant to everyone. She came from the Old School of community living, actively engaged in everything going on. She will be missed by all the people that knew her and through her example may the community start anew. Our sincere condolences to the family. The Bond family

Thinking of you and the family Lorne. Aunt Ruby was always so kind to us kids. She would make sure to come out to say hello to us when we were at Grammies for a visit. I have fond memories of going to the shore in the summer and going as slow as I could by the house just to give Aunt Ruby time to see me and offer me milk and cookies.
