Dear June, Just heard today of Juniors passing. The Crowe Family were such good and kind neighbours to us on Nelson St. many years ago. Junior stopped by the Tea Room when my friend and I ran it and we had such a good visit. Talked of old times and reminisced. Enjoyed spending that time with him there. My condolences to you at this time.

Hi June, I was saddened to read the news about Charlie. I was so pleased to have seen the two of you at the eye doctor a few months ago. Charlie and I had a good time reminiscing. I always enjoyed working with him, and his humor. His greeting was always, "And how is Daryl?". A favorite memory was during the Connor's audit. We normally had breakfast at the Irving Station in Pennfield. At that time Charlie loved the Charlie Pride song, "Kiss an Angel Good Morning". Each morning during breakfast he would put his quarter in Jute Box and all three selections would be this song! I am sorry I will not be able to get to Sussex. I will be praying for you. OUR TRIBUTE TO THE LATE CHARLES CROWE: “A Dear Friend” When starting school in September of 1939 I had the good fortune of commencing a life-time friendship with Charlie, that was destined to last 75 years. As we say Down East, “He was Real People” – God-fearing, intelligent, decent, honest, caring, generous, humorous, and a story-teller extraordinaire. The sense of loss that we feel at his passing is that of family loss, and will treasure the memories of the many times together and the fact that our lives were immeasurably enriched by his presence. June - we are so sorry to hear about Charlie . Always nice to have our chats on the phone from time to time . Always loved his dry sense of humor . He always worried about everyone else and wanted to know how they all were. I remember the first time I met Charlie , he came off as a tough guy , but needless to say he was a totally different person shortly after . Love to hear him chuckle about a few things too .
