John was born in Erb Settlement on August 8th, 1926, he was the son of the late Frederick George Attoe of Norfolk England and Georgie McCrea (Burgess) of Apohaqui. He met Edith Long of Snider Mountain, NB and they were married August 8, 1959. John will live on in the hearts of Edith Hazel (Long) Attoe, his beloved wife of over 55 years; his sons Walter Attoe and Eliane Ouellette of Oak Bay, Philip Attoe and Betty Gilmar of Ingersoll, ON, and Paul Attoe of Moncton; his daughter, Faith Jenkins and her husband Mark of Sussex Corner; his brothers: Alfred Attoe and his wife Velma and Herb Atto, both of Erb Settlement; his sister, Alice Vincent also of Erb Settlement; his seven grandchildren: Samantha Attoe and Chris Plouffe, Danielle and Taylor Micacchi, Sarah and Matthew Melnyk, Vanessa and Steven Leland, Kathleen and Mikhail Moore, Ryan Jenkins and Marquel Jenkins; six great grandchildren: Easton, Everleigh, Luke, Nathaniel, Elisabeth, and Miriam Eva; as well as by several cousins, nieces and nephews. Mr. John Charles Frederick Attoe of Fox Hill passed away at the Great Oaks Special Care Home, on January 24, 2015 at the age of 88. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28th, 2015 from 1-3 and 6-8pm. A service celebrating John's life will be held from Sussex Wesleyan Church on Thursday, January 29th, 2015 at 2pm.
