Obituary of Dorothy Aiton

Born in Picadilly on July 13, 1921, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Samuel and Laura (Adair) Browne and was the wife of the late A. Murray Aiton who passed away in 1994. Family was everything to Dorothy. She loved taking care of her boys and they kept her busy. Dorothy was a wonderful cook and enjoyed feeding people. She also liked spending time working on her flower beds and her garden. Dorothy was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to all who knew and loved her. She will be missed. Dorothy will live on in the hearts of her sons: Andrew and his wife Chris of Fredericton, Ian and his wife Jean of Sussex, David and his wife Brenda of Charlottetown, Hughie and his wife Karen of Sussex, Harold and his wife Lori of Sussex, Robert and his wife Cathy and Duane and his wife Beth, both of Sussex; grandchildren: Alison, Samantha, Sara (Shaun), Nicholas (Amanda), Jason (Jolene), Sarah (Zach), Matthew and Michael; great grandchildren: Kristen and Tyler as well as several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Dorothy Aiton of Sussex, passed away at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on February 3, 2015 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by her brother Sterling and by her sister Evelyn. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Friday, February 6th, 2015 from 7-9pm. A service celebrating Dorothy's life will be held from St. Paul's United Church on Saturday, February 7th, 2015 at 2:00pm.
