My sincere condolences to John's family and friends. I knew John for many years through national meetings of the NRCan Aboriginal and Community Forest programs and was always impressed by John's dedication and compassion towards helping others, as well as his love for keeping active and being outdoors. He bettered the lives of many, many people through his work on the NRcan programs and I know that he truly made a huge difference in helping people take steps to build a better life for themselves. Please accept my sincere condolences .... John will be sadly missed.

What a shock!! I cannot believe that such a young man -- so healthy and active -- could be taken from us so suddenly. My sincere condolences to all who knew him and considered him a friend. He was a fantastic guy as you all know. I met him through the Model Forest Network in the Atlantic Provinces and attended many meetings with him jointly. He was so thoughtful and well respected and experienced in his field. I know he will be sorely missed. God bless.

Although I only knew John for a short time I recognized what a great and thoughtful man he was. I had the opportunity to visit the cottage in Shediac and his hospiltality was amazing. He catered to our every need. We got to spend an afternoon painting the rocks in the front yard of the cottage and the conversation we had was amazing. I will never forget John and the times we had. My heart and prayers go out to the Henderson family. God bless you.

Sincerest condolences to John's family. I am so sad to hear of his passing. When my daughter Lindsay and I lived in Fredericton, John was one of the few people who truly made us feel welcome. He always had a word of encouragement, a warm and brilliant smile, a good mind. Words cannot express our sorrow at the passing of this earnest and true heart. We would talk about Shediac weekends all the time since I also have a place at the Shooting Stars camp ground.
