Obituary of Enid Stanwix

Enid was born in Hammondvale on March 18, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Tilburn and Ethel (Tabor) Gray and wife of the late William Stanwix who passed away in 1977. Enid took great pride and had great love for her family. She devoted her life to caring for them and as they went on to have their own families, she took care of them as well. She loved to cook and was famous for her three batches of donuts at Christmas time including this past Christmas. She loved to read, do puzzles and pass on her home remedies to her family. If you had something wrong, she probably knew a home remedy to cure it. Enid also loved her pets, including her dog Riley. She had a special place in her heart for all animals, no matter what they were. Enid will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Barbara McKay and her husband Frank, Dale Hawthorne and her husband Dean and Irene Malone and her husband Fred, all of Sussex; her sons: David and his wife Betty of Hammondvale, Paul and his wife Louise of Sussex, Vernon and his wife Karen of Marshall Hill and Richard and his wife Kim of Jeffries Corner; her sister Bernadine Sherwood of Sussex; her grandchildren: Lori Briggs (David), Jamie McKay, Kelly Linden (Mike), Aaron Stanwix (Amanda), Heather Madden (Philip), Jon Stanwix, Jason Stanwix, Jennifer Bernard (Trevor), Andrea Jeffrey (Spencer), Billy Coone, Megan Carr (Stephen), Amanda Doucette (Paul), Virginia Stanwix (Tyler) and Willie Stanwix; her great grandchildren: Kennedy Bernard, Kyle Bernard, Alyssa Jeffrey, Jaxen Jeffrey, Ashlyn Briggs, Jarrod Briggs, Phoebe Doucette, Brad Friars, Lauren Linden, Alexandra Linden; her great great grandchildren: Nakeesha, Nathaniel, Abigail, Isabella and Selena as well as several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Enid Lavinia (Gray) Stanwix of Jeffries Corner passed away on March 3, 2015 at the Sussex Health Centre surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband William Stanwix in 1977; her brother Ora Gray; her sisters: Smilley, Beulah and Ina.
