Obituary of Ruth Willis
Ruth, her preferred name, was born in Millstream on June 28, 1920, and was the daughter of the late John and Jenny (Parlee) Northrup.
Ruth loved her family dearly and took on the role of family Matriarch with great pride and responsibility.
In her younger years she loved to golf and curl, and still watched them on TV.
She enjoyed her visits to the camp, Tooth Acres (Pleasant Ridge) and later on to the new camp, The Woodpeckers Nest with one of the many dogs that she cherished. In the summer, her visits to the trailer at Grand Lake were filled with friends, cards and laughter.
Her greatest passion came from her paints and brushes. She treated all objects (rocks, bottles, shingles etc.) like they were a canvass. She really enjoyed a good drive in the country and never tired of wondering who lived lived here and there and what they did.
Many thanks to friend and long term care giver Pat McGouey for her help and understanding.
Ruth is survived by her sons, Doug Northrup (Donna) of Sussex and Greg Northrup (Holly) of Roachville. Cherished Grandmother (Mimi) of Jennifer Anderson (Mark) of Fredericton, Lisa King (Dan) of Quispamsis, Jeff Northrup (Stacy) of Saint John, Amy St. Onge (Tom) of Edmonton, Alberta, Jonathon Northrup (Erin) of Moncton and Michelle Legendre (James) of Edmonton, Alberta.
