Obituary of Dawnella Joan Fraser

Dawnella was born in Petitcodiac on September 18, 1934; she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Edna Adair and the wife of Harland D. Fraser. Dawnella was employed as a telephone operator for N.B.Telephone and also worked as a clerk for Sussex Stationers. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was always trying new recipes, would crochet and knit and did crossword puzzles and enjoyed company. Dawnella will be lovingly remembered by her husband Harland, her daughter Ruth Roxanne Alward (Danny) of Havelock, her grandchildren, Christopher (Amber) Alward and Nicole (Shawn) Weir, three great grandchildren, Micheal and James Alward and Melanie Weir, all of Havelock. She is also survived by her sisters Martha Gautreau and Hannah Cain and brother Thomas Adair as well as her sisters-in-laws, Sandra and Evelyn Adair. Mrs. Dawnella Joan Fraser of Sussex passed away at the Sussex Health Center on April 30, 2015 at the age of 80. In addition to her parents, Dawnella was predeceased by her brothers Allison, Edward, Gerald (Buster) Earl and Vaughn Adair. If desired, donations in Dawnella's name to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice is appeciated by the family. The family wishes to thank Dr. David Symington, Dr. Brian O'Neill and Dr. Margot Burnell for all their care and compassion shown Dawnella during her illness. Thank you also to the nurses at Sussex Health Center ICU Unit and 4C for their care and help to the family during the past few days. Special appreciation to Extra Mural, especially Florence Burgess, for their visits and care during these past few weeks. You made our sorrow a little more bearable.
