I have only just received word of Ron's passing and wish to send my condolences to the family. While I did not know Ron all that well I did have contact with him while serving as Manager Ship Safety, Sarnia and later as Principal Regional Surveyor and Acting RMSS in Toronto. I always found Ron had a professional approach to the job.
