Dear Pat,
I didn't know Gary was sick so you can just imagine the surprise I got when Stirling told me of Gary's passing. I was in the Truro and Halifax area when I was given the news and could not make it to the funeral.
Losing Gary will be a huge void in your life. He was always the life of the party and I'm sure he and Don are up there telling Newfie jokes and all kinds of stories to whoever will listen to them!
I'm sending you my most sincere and deepest sympathy to you, Paula and Damon. I have fond memories of Gary and will remember them always. May the dear Lord guide each and everyone of you and help you through this most difficult time in your lives.

Dear Pat and family,
Sending you our deepest sympathies and prayers as we learn of Gary's passing. We recieved the news of Gary's diagnosis from Judy and we are very grateful. As fate would have it we missed you all this year in Florida and the year before Gary stayed behind. So we hold our fond memories of Gary even closer. He was larger than life and always up to something. True to form Gary was thinking of others and just couldn't pass up a good story. We will miss him and always think of him at Bali Hai

We are sorry for your loss, Pat. I remember staying at your house after Paula was born. I did a bit of cooking (not sure how edible, but Gary didn't complain). He was enthralled with his newborn daughter.
Mum & Dad (Margie & Neil) always enjoyed time spent with you. Where Gary was, there was laughter. I hope it helps you to know how Gary's happy spirit affected people. Don joins me in extending our sincere sympathy to you, as well as to Paula, Damon and their families.
