Doug...my sincerest sympathies... I have only known Mary for a short while, but feel like I might have known her for years.... such a loving lady, who greeted everyone with a smile.. so easy to LOVE. It was God's plan that you two have many wonderful, loving years together. I know she will be missed by 'many' family members and all who knew her.

The Classy Lady, that's how my daughter describes her.
Aunt Mary, she was the oldest daughter in a family of twelve. She became a mother of four children: Diane, Carl, Darlene and Mona; a grandmother of six and a great grandmother of seven.
Aunt Mary will be remembered for many things, but the one thing that stands out for me was her quick wit. She was always prepared with a quick comeback even if it was at her own expense. She was a determined woman who spoke her mind and lived her life on her own terms.
Even through her battle with cancer, she proved she had fierce determination.
Aunt Mary enjoyed her family and friends, traveling with Doug and a little party now and then. She will be greatly missed by Doug and all her family and friends.
Although she has left us, she will not be alone. She will be in great company with her mom and dad; her daughter, Darlene and her sister Lucy, My mom.

Doug our sincere sympathy on the loss of Mary, as you know Georgie and I always enjoyed the time sitting together and chatting with Mary. I always teased her and she would give back as good as she was teased always with a smile. We are leaving Monday morning for Edmonton and then on by car with our son and his wife through the mountains to Victoria, so we will not be here for visitation or to attend Mass. We will be home on July 14, 2015 and I will get in touch with you then, and we will have lunch together if that works for you.
I am sure no words can express how you feel but time will help heal the pain.
