Obituary of Ralph Murray Dyer
Ralph was born in Sussex on April 8th 1937, he was the son of the late William Allan Dyer of Waterford and Alice Maud (Wheaton) Dyer of Mt. Pisgah.
Ralph worked as a Mill Trimmer for over 48 years; starting at the age of 18, he worked for Palmer and Murray, Wallace Manufacturing, G.B. Brown, Dead River, and Irving Ltd. On the 10th of April he married Nancy Pirie, the love of his life and there love story began. Their son Jordan was the apple of his eye. They enjoyed spending time at the trailer in the summers, watching Jordan fish and then eating the catch of the day. He enjoyed life to the fullest, he loved covered bridges, dancing and music, watching westerns and spending time with family. Ralph had a unique sense of humor. He often was very quiet in a corner but if opportunity was there to inject some humor, he grabbed it because he loved making people laugh.
Ralph will always will be at home in the hearts of Nancy, his beloved and dedicated wife of over 24 years; his son, Jordan and his fiancée Tianna McLellan; his two brothers: Wesley of Sussex and Walter of Moncton; his sister, Lillian Armstrong and her husband Ken of Sussex and his niece Jo-Anne Bauer of Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ralph Murray Dyer of Sussex passed away at home with his family at his side on July 9, 2015 at the age of 78. He is predeceased by their infant daughter, Sarah Grace; his sisters: Minnie Dyer, Ella Melvin and Helen Dyer; his brothers: William "Sonny" and Vincent and by his sister in law, Annie Dyer.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Friday, July 10th, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
A service celebrating Mr. Dyer’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Saturday July 11th at 2:00 pm.
There will be a time of fellowship, with Ralph’s family, at 210 Maple Avenue immediately following a private family committal at Kirk Hill Cemetery.
