Obituary of Robert Cleveland Secord

Mr. Robert Cleveland Secord was born in Penobsquis on December 20, 1936, he was the son of the late Harold Secord and Jean (Hall) (Secord) Cowan. He worked at Atlantic Wholesalers for 24 years until it's closing, moving then to work for Royal Pontiac. Bob enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, working in the woods and watching the birds. He especially loved to talk and tell stories. Bob was full of information - If you needed something or wanted to know something Bob was always your first stop. Out of the many activities he enjoyed, his biggest dream was to build a camp - when he completed it, he named it ‘Innis-Brook Lodge’ Bob will live on in the hearts of his loving wife of 53 years, Sondra; his sons: Harold and his wife Nancy of Penobsquis, Kevin of Quebec and Paul and his wife Donna of Penobsquis; his grandchildren: Melissa, Robert (Jade Baxendale), Andrew and Jesse all of Penobsquis; his sisters: Carol Kyle and her husband Bob of Sussex, Helen Shield and her husband Al of Milo, Alberta and Louise McGinnis (Gilles Morissette) of Windsor, Ontario; his step-sisters: Norma Paul and her husband Ian of Sackville and Carol Whittaker and her husband Peter of Harvey Station; as well as several nieces and nephews. Bob is predeceased by his father, Harold Secord; his mother, Jean Cowan; his step-father, Fred Cowan; his sister, Jane Secord and by his daughter, Heather. Mr. Robert Cleveland Secord of Penobsquis, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on July 13, 2015 at the age of 78.
