Obituary of Frank Edwin Walker

Frank was born in Wards Creek on December 8th 1918; he was the son of the late David and Ida (Riedle) Walker. On May 6, 1946; he married Edna Matilda Friars, the love of his life and they enjoyed a marriage that spanned over 69 years. Frank was operator and Co-owner of Lonsview Farms in NewLine, NB, a member of Markhamville Lodge #91 LOL, past President of Sussex and Studholm Agricultural Society, a member and former elder of St. John's United Church, past Chairman and honorary Director of Boy Scouts of Canada, past Director of Sussex Cheese and Butter and a member of the Golden K. Frank will live on in the hearts of his wife Edna, their daughters: Linda Hunt and her husband Harley of Sussex, Patsy Walker and her husband Dean Clarke of Calgary, their sons: David and his wife Susan of Fredericton, Daryl and his wife Ruth of Newline, Brian and his wife Linda of Berwick, Jeffrey and his wife Suzanne of Shubenacadie, NS, his brothers: Charlie and his wife Jean of Fergus, ON, his sisters-in-law, Margaret Walker - Greer and her husband Irvine of Roachville, Evelyn Walker of St. Stephen; his grandchildren, Andrew Hunt (Diane Snelgrove) of Sussex, Barry Hunt and his wife Heather of Moncton, Ian Hunt and his wife Jacqueline of St. Albert, AB, Mitchell Walker-Clarke and his wife Natasha of Chestermere, AB, Andrea Walker-Clarke of Calgary, AB, Peter Walker and his wife Amber of Vancouver, BC, Lindsay Walker and her husband Ryan Reynolds of Fredericton, Matthew Walker and his wife Jackie of Woodstock, ON, Eric Walker and Chrystal Creek of New Line, Janet Walker of Truro, NS, Adrian Walker of Kitchener Waterloo, ON, Ryan Walker of Sussex, Michael Walker and his wife Jessica of Abbotsford, BC, Danielle Walker of Moncton, Jeremy Walker of St. Albert, AB, Zoe, Rachel and Molly Walker, all of Shubenacadie, NS; their great grandchildren, Hannah, Sarah, Helen and Isaac, Kennedy, Keegan, Carter, Hudson, Aiden, Maggie, Rene, Aiden, Ella, Haley, Seth and Levi; as well as by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Frank Edwin Walker of New Line, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on July 15, 2015 at the age of 96; he is predeceased by his son Gregory, his brothers: John and George and by his sisters: Lillie McHaffie, Ella Walker and Mabel Danson. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 5-8, Markhamville Lodge #91 LOL will be holding a tribute on Sunday evening at 4:45. A service celebrating Mr. Walker’s life will be held from St. John's United Church, Sussex Corner on Monday July 20th at 11:00am. A private family interment will take place at Kirk Hill Cemetery, everyone is welcome to remain at the Church Hall for a time of fellowship.
