Obituary of Winsor Floyd

Winsor was the son of the late G. Winsor and Mary Helen (McLellan) Floyd. He was born August 29th, 1972 in Saint John, New Brunswick. He lived with his brothers and sisters at 104 Rayland Street in Glen Falls. As a young boy he attended GlenFalls Elementary school. until 1983, when the family moved to Hardwood Lands, Nova Scotia where he attended East Hants Rural school. The family lived there until 1987 when they moved back to New Brunswick to a farm in Lower Millstream, where Winsor worked the farm for a few years. In 1996 Winsor met his future wife and best friend, Faith Phillips. Winsor and Faith accomplished their goal of purchasing a home in Smiths Creek where they planned to spend the rest of their lives. Winsor was very proud of his little home and often told Faith they would never need anything more. They were married August 19th, 2006. He decided to move from farming to trucking with his first trucking job with S&G from P.E.I . In 1997 he began his career with McConnell Transport located in Woodstock, New Brunswick. Winsor is survived by his wife Faith (Phillips) Floyd, six sisters: Vera Wood and her husband Barry, Betty Floyd, Greta Wooden and her husband John and Kathy Craft and her partner Sandra, all of Saint John, Reta Hanlin of Vancouver and Brenda Floyd of Toronto; four brothers, Dan Floyd and his wife Kathy of Sussex, Robert, Tommy and Johnny Craft all of Saint John; Faith’s Grandparents, Don and Jean Phillips, Faith's Mother, Marina and Doug, Faith’s Brother, Billy and Jennifer, Very special friends to Winsor and Faith, Darcy, Seth, Rachel and Andrea,as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Winsor was predeceased by his sister, Ruthie who passed away in 1970.
