Obituary of Rose Marie Robinson
Rose was born in Newtown on October 23, 1948; she was the daughter of the late Edgar Simpson and Bertha (Wheaton) and the wife of the late Nelson Burton Robinson who passed away in 2004. Rose was one of those ladies who you meet and would fall in love with, she was so giving and caring for others, and never put herself first. She would start her day off by answering the phone of one of her several friends for their morning conversations, then depending on the day she would either be having a wash day or a floor scrubbing day. Then by afternoon she would be ready for any adventure. Which would happen when someone would stop by and say "get in or let’s go". Her love of God's nature included her gardens that she tended with care and the berries that she picked. Many days we would get a call about moms car being found on the side of the road empty, but after a few short steps you would hear mom singing some Johnny Cash or Charlie Pride song. Then she would offer all her pickings for the day to you just because you stopped by to spend some time with her. The yarn sales will plummet now that mom isn’t here to knit all the socks, hats, mitts and blankets that we all look forward to receiving at Christmas. This social butterfly would be found at every Church function volunteering as her way to show love back to the community, to her friends that were near and dear to her heart, plus she enjoyed all the laughs out back in the kitchen.
She will live on in the hearts of her children: Linda Anderson and her husband Ed, Cathy Pascoe, Jimmie Simpson and his wife Jodi, Charles Simpson and his wife Angela, Eliza Kincade and her husband Kevin; her step-children: Stanley Robinson and his wife Georgina, Roberta Comeau and Tommie Robinson and his wife Ann; 24grandchildren: Allen, Audrey, Shelia, Brent, Kim, Lori, Dale, Jonathan, Jessica, Daniel, Allen, Devan, Tyler, Brittany, Dillian, Debbie, David, Kelly, Gina, Bonnie, Jason, Paul, Cassandra, Amanda; 12 great grandchildren: Gregory, Brent, Craig, Luke, Morgan, Jennifer, Stephen, William, Katie and Amy, Chloe; four brothers; Brian Simpson and his wife Cheryl of Newtown, Wayne Simpson, Burton Simpson and his wife Vera and Lloyd Simpson and his wife Cheryl, all of Sussex; and her sister Faye Vautour and her husband Larry
Rose Marie Robinson of Fundy Park Road, Springdale, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on July 23, 2015 at the age of 66. Her loving blue eye and contagious smile and hugs for everyone will be dearly missed by all those whose lives she has touched.
Rose is predeceased by an infant son John Robinson, her grandson John Smith and by three brothers; Gordon, Charles and Donald Simpson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 1-3 and 6-8pm.
A Celebration of Rose's life will be held from Penobsquis Baptist Church on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at 1:00pm.
