Mr. William Gerard Devine passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on June 22, 1998 at the age of 71. Born in Sussex, on January 03, 1927, he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth (McNaught) Devine.

Bill spent most of his adult life teaching. He had the opportunity to teach in four provinces: Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia as well as New Brunswick.

Bill will live on in the hearts of his brother, Ron of Sussex; his 2 sisters Kay Whalen and her husband Ed of Moncton, N.B., and Phyllis Sadovsky and her husband Vincent of Sun City West, Arizona; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Bill was predeceased by his brother Elderidge.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church on June 25, 1998 at 10am with Fr. Joseph Cochrane officiating. The interment will take place at Wards Creek Cemetery.
