Obituary of Jim Sylvester Ryan

Mr. James S. Ryan of Sussex, passed away at the Sussex Health Center on August 10, 2015 at the age of 88. Jim was born in Plumweseep on December 13, 1926 and was the son of the late Thomas and Margaret (Purtill) Ryan and husband of Eileen (Cummings) Ryan. Jim will live on in the hearts of his wife Eileen (Cummings) Ryan; their three daughters: Margaret Ryan of Quispamsis, Tina Drury and her husband Wilfred of McGregor Brook and Janet Johnston and her husband Manford of Codys, NB; their three sons: James Ryan and his wife Bridget of Sussex, Patrick Ryan of Sussex, John Ryan and his wife Tracy of Cape Breton; their eight grandchildren: Sloane Ryan, Broghan Ryan, Rian Drury, Jordan Drury, MacKenzie Ryan, Kayl Ryan, Alexis Johnston and Olivia Johnston; his brother: George Ryan and his wife Rose of Saint John and his sister Lois McHugh of Saint John; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim was predeceased by his brothers Walter and Thomas and by his sisters, Kathleen Herrington, Irma Gillespie and Rita Proctor. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Wednesday, August 12th from 1-3 and 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 11:00am. The interment will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery.
