Obituary of Lorna Ethel Ellison

Mrs. Lorna Ethel Ellison of Sussex, passed away at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on August 13, 2015 at the age of 87. Born on April 19, 1928, in Sussex Corner, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Margaret Wood. Lorna will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband, of 65 years, Ralph Ellison; her five daughters: Jody Dehart and her husband Carl of Ft. Laurderdale, Florida, Gay Lewis and her husband Jim of Reston, Virginia, Lori Ellison of Sussex, Tayrn Pittman of Boston, Mass., and Dianne Ellison of Singapore; her son, Douglas of Zepp, Virginia; her seven grandchildren: Amy, Caroline, Sheryl, April, Jennifer, Heather and Kristie; and her seven great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Lorna was predeceased by her four brothers: Donald, James, Aldran and Eric; her sister Ruth Wood; her daughter-in-law: Joyce Ellison; as well as her grandson, Eric Ellison. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). As per the family's request, there will be no visitation. A service celebrating Lorna's life will be held at a later date. If you are considering making a memorial donation the family has recommended the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
