Obituary of James Stephen Hourihan

Jim was born in Roachville on February 5, 1938, he was the son of the late Wilfred Hourihan of Wards Creek and Beulah (Starkey) Hourihan of Youngs Cove Rd. Jim is survived by his sons: Dan and Sherri Hourihan of Apohaqui and Tim and Sonya Hourihan of Toronto; three grandchildren: Garnet, Jacob and Molly; the mother of his children Sondra Hourihan of Sussex; two sisters: Joyce Hawthorn of Victoria, BC and Carol Ann Brown of Apohaqui; two sisters-in-law; Liz Hourihan of California and Elaine Hourihan of Apohaqui as well as several nieces and nephews. James Stephen Hourihan of Sussex, passed away at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on October 14, 2015 at the age of 77. He is predeceased by his brothers Harold (Bud), Gerry and Raymond, his brothers-in-law: Bob Brown and Tom Hawthorn; his sister-in-law: Jeannine Hourihan and by his step-mother, Grace London-Hourihan. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 10:00 am. There will be an opportunity to visit with family in the Church Hall immediately following the service. A private family interment will take place at Wards Creek Cemetery.
