Obituary of Harry Young
Harry Leslie Young was born on July 15, 1952 in Fredericton. He was the son of Robert and Margaret (MacDonald) Young.
Harry enjoyed being in the outdoors hunting and fishing. He spent most of his life working in the woods and was a carpet layer in his early twenties.
Family was very important to Harry. After losing his mother at a young age, he was separated from his brothers and sisters, but once he was a teenager, he went searching for his family. He was able to find Fred and he was very happy to be back in their lives after so many years. His brothers and sisters settled into their lives, raising children and Harry was very close to his nieces and nephews. The kids couldn't wait for Uncle Harry to come for the weekend on the bus from Fredericton. When he was there with the kids, he was the biggest kid of all.
Harry loved to party and have fun. He loved to eat although he never was a very big man. Harry was a man with a huge heart and love for his family. His life was not always easy but he made the most of what he had. He will be loved and always remembered by all who knew him.
Harry is survived by three brothers; Fred and his wife Louise, Dale and his wife Reta, and Teddy; three sisters, Shirley Gray and her husband Alvin, Nancy and Colleen as well as his sister in law Sandra of Penobsquis and several nieces and nephews.
Harry was predeceased by his brother Henry.
A Celebration of Harry's life is being held from Wallace Community Chapel on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 11:00 am.
