Dear family,
I have just learned of Rhoda's passing and wish to express my condolences to each of you.
Rhoda was a member of the Codys Women' Institute for many years when she lived in Codys. I had the opportunity to meet her in 2014 when I was researching for a book that has been compiled of all W.I. members from 1914 - 2014, of which Rhoda is one. She was a lovely person and I was pleased to have made her acquaintance. Sincerely, Ellen & Cody's W.I. members

Our hearts and thoughts go out to you all with the passing of your Mom. I will always remember her smile and laugh as she did so often whenever I had the opportunity to see her. I realize these past couple of days has been a whirlwind of emotions through highs and lows. Try to slow it down and spend time with each other as I'm sure your Mom will be smiling downward at all of her children.

Dear Debbie, Steve, Doug, Darlene and family,
I will always remember Rhoda for her wonderful baking and her immortal words, 'take time to smell the roses.' She was so generous with her time and her love for family. I remember the wonderful visit that Garth and I had with your parents in 1992 when they took us all over the county. Lobster rolls, fish and chips and a trip to the national park were just a few of the things that stick out. We had long chats about your mom's music lessons. Great memories and such a great lady!!!!!
Sending our love to all of you. Xoxo

Debbie, Doug and Families, It was my pleasure to serve as Rhoda's pastor in Norton for a number of years. I remember going to Halifax to visit with Rhoda after her surgery. As a pastor you go in and hope to help someone find courage, strength and encouragement. The amazing thing was with Rhoda, I often seemed to be the one who felt ministered to. She was an amazing woman of great faith. She loved you all with the same kind of unconditional, self-sacrifical, other-oriented kind of love that she believed God generously gave to her in Jesus. Our prayers for all of you as you mourn the loss of a terrific woman and celebrate a life of someone who lived and loved well.
